Another day another dollar

I found these two pics in Larry's computer... They are a little old, but I thought I would share them. Last year, we went to the Highland games in Orlando. It is a gathering of Scot clans. My Clan, the Stewart Clan, won in the parade, we had the most representatives there. (I made Bonnie and Larry march in the parade with me...) We had all kinds of fun! Being royalty has it's perks! They were most impressed at my tent... I just neglected to mention that I am some rediculus number in line for the throne... like 36 or 38.

I have no idea what I was going through in that one, I know we were waiting on a funnel cake...

And I love this one... it is my clan! I can't wait to go back this year.

Still swimming...

This was freaking hilarious!

I still don't have my test grade yet... I hate waiting, I am not very patient... lol

I want to go to Halloween Horror Nights this weekend, but I have a paper to write, and two chapters to read, and Statistics Homework to do... If we went, it would only be Saturday evening... leave about 6, and come back that night...

I had a pretty good day at work today. I had to dispatch, and we had a foot pursuit that led to three arrests. Fun fun, gets the adrenaline pumping.

Larry made supervisor, so hopefully this will alleviate some of the turbulence in dispatch. A good captain makes for smooth sailing! Congrats Larry!

I had my eval, I did very well. 95.4% on the grading part, and my supervisor created an addendum to the form to boast about my outstanding achievements. We have a new raise system. We will get a 2% cost of living adjustment, and up to 3% merit raise. Employees that show up and do their job walk away with nothing. Good employees will get 1%, well above average employees get 2%, and you have to "walk on water" to get 3%. My supervisor is pretty sure I walk on water.

The only bad news is that I am the guinea pig. Mine is the first eval to go to the city manager since this new system was put into effect. I fear that even though I always give 110%, he may try to make an example out of me... or just be harder on me because he has no one to compare to. I really hope this is not the case, I could use the money.

So once again, keep your fingers crossed for me!

I hate one way friendships. To me they are not even friendships. You ever run into those people, who say they are your friend, but you find that you are the only one making any effort? How hard is it to call someone? My granparents are like that, and a few choice other people whom I will not mention. I have even had boyfriends like this. I am through with it. Either it's a two way street, or be prepared to get passed. And that is going to be your loss.

Other news, men still suck, school is still hectic... My great grandmother's roommate (before she passed) just passed away. I have only gone to see her three times since grams left us. I felt bad... It was just so hard to go there, and not see grams. She just quit fighting.

Being faced with death raises some scary questions. It brings to light one's own mortality.

Useless fact of the day: There are no words in the dictionary that rhyme with the words orange, purple, or silver, or month.

that one struck my fancy since I love to write poetry... those words often trip me up! LOL...

Yay to Scottish people. My last name is MacKay...about as Scottish as you can get.
I'm glad I make pasta and don't have to pursue anyone, but good job anyway!
